Easy Applier: My First-Ever Hackathon Submission
This is my first-ever Agent build - the result of my first-ever Hackathon: the Google x Kaggle 5‑day Intensive Course on Vibe Coding and the new SDLC. It was life changing! The whole experience made me realize how much more I have to learn about software engineering, yet because I’m passionately curious, the prospect of learning all these extremely complex computer science concepts is exciting
A simple, free-to-use AI agent for good: it helps career switchers bold enough to ride the AI revolution improve resume keyword matching against job descriptions, ultimately aiming to be a work-around to ATS systems.
How to use
Enter/Update your Resume Information in the “Your Resume” section (look toward the right middle of the application, you should see my resume input text snippet).
Type and entry-level tech job title and click the “Search entry-level jobs” button (located at the top of the page).
Select one of the listings.
Double Check to make sure your “My Resume” section has the skills, phrases, and keywords you want.
Click the “Tailor” button located at the bottom of your “My Resume” section
Wait ~3–10 seconds. The agent will produce:
An ATS-fit report comparing your profile to the job description with match percentage
A tailored Cover Letter snippet
Why it matters
Fast, practical help for improving ATS keyword match.
Ideal for displaced workers looking to get noticed again.
Built during an intensive, hands-on hackathon — proof of concept and portfolio-ready.
Why I’m proud of it
Before this course, I knew it would be possible to use AI (as I had done in my previous role) to generate code, but I wasn't sure how easy it would be to use it, outside of a work setting to generate code for an entire website/application. To be quite honest, I had nothing better to do and tried it for myself one day and realized it was just was easy as I thought it might be.
That was vibe coding… before I knew what vibe coding was…. So this first hackathon sponsored by Google gave me the confidence to:
Realize my ability to create an AI agent and evolve from Vibe Coder → Contextual Engineer.
Begin deep diving into the higher level concepts of my M.S. in AI.
Continue competing in more hackathons… because, I’m I can write better code than most current C.S. students, sometimes have stronger solutions overall.
